Patagonia is located at the southern end of South America, shared by Argentina and Chile. Have been fortunate to visit the Chilean side many times for magazine and TV assignments. Amazing how the bottom of the world looks similar to the top, with huge mountains, calving glaciers, raging rivers, exotic wildlife. A trekker’s Paradise. The definitive book about this marvelous place is In Patagonia by Bruce Chatwin. In it, he writes: “I haven’t got any special religion this morning. My God is the God of Walkers. If you walk hard enough, you probably don’t need any other god.”
